WILL XAVIER

Will Xavier or Mr X as he is popularly known have been an industry pro since 1981.

He is regarded as arguably the best interviewer in the country, having conducted on-screen chats with sports stars from Gabriella Sabatini and Jonah Lomu, to visiting dignitaries including film directors, captains of industry and musical stars including the Eagles, David Bowie, Diana Krall and the founder of Band Aid, Sir Bob Geldorf.

His recently concluded Last Radio Broadcast is on the shortlist for an Asia- Pacific Broadcasting union award for excellence.

His composition “back In Love Again” won the 1987 National Songwriting Award, representing the country at the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union Song Festival that year.

Will has hosted the biggest show in the country, the National Day parade 5 of the past 6 years and innumerable award shows including the Asian Television Awards, the Mercedes Ball and National Youth Achievement Awards whose patrons include The President of the Republic and the Duke of Edinburgh, both here and overseas.

He has been a tourism ambassador traveling to India, Japan, and Nepal. Will has received several commendations from numerous public bodies for whom he has provided professional services.

As a moderator of note, Will has conducted plenary and panel sessions for conferences for the tourism, medical, insurance and telecommunications and broadcast industries. Product launches, song festivals, anniversary functions and innumerable corporate functions have been successfully concluded with him at the helm.

His corporate experience includes Directorial appointments in Public Relations and board membership at a publicly-listed media group.

He continues to host radio and TV shows, reads documentaries, commercials and product videos, produces and composes music for fun and profit.
